A modern Green Oak sling braced truss extension to an archetypal Devon longhouse nestling in mid Devon. Heavy stone & cob walls under a slate roof, contrasts with the modern lightweight but muscular frame and materials to create a light airy vaulted living space. mark & Gillian love their Day-room and say they spend hours in it. The technical challenge on this project was to isolate the folding sliding doors from the Green Oak frame that would expand & contract with the seasons, all is working well and the further landscaping has made Mill Farmhouse a lovely setting
